Anexis have topped group B after a 16-3 win over Lemondogs. Meanwhile in the match with just bragging rights on the line, Western Wolves defeated Absolute Legends 16-14 on de_dust2_se.
Anexis started off strong in the deciding match for first place in THOR Open's group B, as Jacob "Pimp" Winneche scored three frags on the opening pistol round as counter-terrorists to clinch his team the all important opening round.
Lemondogs attempted a partial buy on round two, but it didn't prove successful, forcing the Swedes to save round three as they went down 0-3. Nichlas "Nille" Busk's three M4A4 kills in the A site gave Anexis round four, and LD decided to save again.
Anexis allowed the Swedes to get a bomb plant on the following weapon round, but once again the Danes' defense was too strong, now extending their lead to 6-0, and then 7-0, with André "beRg" Kjellberg still at zero frags.
Pimp played a huge role in Anexis' 16-3 win over LD
Mathias "MSL" Lauridsen scored three frags on round nine while the next round was a team effort, before Lemondogs finally got on the board with their first round of the game, as they slowly picked apart the A bombsite.
Lemondogs won the next round as well, and with Lauridsen crashing on round thirteen, the Swedes continued their comeback by making it 3-10. It looked as if they'd continue winning, but running out of time gave Anexis round fourteen, and the Swedes were shut down on the last round of the half.
Despite two members being down to single digit health on the second half pistol round, Anexis secured the win to build on their 12-3 at half lead. LD bought on the third round, but weren't able to capitalize as the Danes moved to first place in group B. THOR Open 2012Best of 1 Anexis

Meanwhile in the very much meaningless third place decider, if you will, of group B, Western Wolves took on fellow Swedes Absolute Legends in a rematch from the BYOC qualifier at DreamHack, albeit on a different map.
The Wolves started by scoring eight rounds as counter-terrorists on de_dust2_se, an impressive half on what is considered a fairly terrorist heavy map, especially against a team many consider stronger.
The underdogs won five straight rounds as terrorists to go up 13-7, but Jim "zneel" Andersson's team replied with five of their own to make it 13-12. With the economy looking bleak, Anton "waver" Wiberg aced aL on the next round, with a one-on-three at the end.
Faruk "pita" Pita's crew would not go down without a fight though, as they won the next two rounds to make it 14-14. In the end it was Wiberg & co who managed to clinch the domestic win though, winning 16-14. THOR Open 2012Best of 1 Western Wolves
